What does Orlando have to offer a pharmacy student?

Orlando has a motto, “We Are Orlando,” which perfectly reflects the close community we share on campus. This sense of unity creates a supportive environment where students and faculty come together to learn, grow and succeed.

Who has been the most influential mentor during your time at UF, and why?

The most influential mentor during my time at the University of Florida has been Dr. Bradley Phillips. He has helped me strengthen my CV, build confidence in my clinical thinking and supported my professional and academic growth. I greatly value his impact both on and off campus, as well as the way he inspires and uplifts students around him.

How has your mindset changed since starting pharmacy school?

Since starting pharmacy school, I’ve noticed a positive shift in my discipline, self-reflection and overall desire to continually grow into the best version of myself. The rigorous coursework and hands-on experiences have pushed me to stay focused and accountable. I’ve also become more intentional about setting goals and taking ownership of my personal and professional development.

Being part of the UF College of Pharmacy has truly made me feel like part of the Gator Nation. Through my involvement in several student organizations focused on serving the community, I’ve had the chance to connect with others who share the same passion for giving back. The college has opened so many doors for me to grow, lead and make a difference, both on campus and beyond.
